Credaq ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using Credaq, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Credaq is a creator intelligence platform connecting Nigerian and African brands with content creators. We operate at credaq.com. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@credaq.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account information — name, email address, phone number, and password when you sign up
• Profile information — bio, location, niche, content language, rate card, and availability settings (creators)
• Company information — company name, industry, website, and team size (brands and agencies)
• Social account data — follower counts, engagement metrics, audience demographics, and post performance pulled via Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube APIs when you connect your accounts
• Campaign data — wishlist activity, outreach emails sent, content submissions, post URLs, and performance tracking data
• Usage data — pages visited, searches performed, features used, and time spent on the platform
• Payment data — billing details processed securely via Paystack; we do not store card numbers on our servers

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Credaq platform and its features
• To display your creator profile to brand and agency accounts searching for creators
• To calculate and display analytics, engagement scores, and Credaq Tier rankings
• To facilitate outreach, campaign management, content review, and performance tracking
• To send transactional and notification emails relevant to your account and campaigns
• To process subscription payments and manage billing
• To monitor platform usage and prevent abuse, spam, or fraudulent activity
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Nigeria's NDPR

4. Social API Data

When you connect your Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube account, Credaq accesses data via their official APIs. This data — including follower counts, engagement rates, and audience demographics — is used solely to power your Credaq profile and analytics. We do not sell this data to third parties. You can revoke API access at any time from your profile settings, and your data will be removed from your public profile within 24 hours.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:

• Brand and agency accounts — your public profile data (metrics, niche, rate tier, availability) is visible to subscribed brand accounts. Your exact email address is never displayed to brands; outreach is routed through Credaq's sending infrastructure
• Service providers — third-party tools we use to operate the platform, including Paystack (payments), Resend or SendGrid (email), and PostHog (analytics). These providers are bound by data processing agreements
• Legal obligations — where required by Nigerian law or a valid legal process

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Campaign data associated with your account is never permanently deleted when a subscription expires — access is suspended until renewed. If you permanently delete your account, your data is removed within 90 days in line with Nigeria's NDPR requirements. Residual anonymised data may be retained for platform analytics.

7. Your Rights

Under Nigeria's Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent to data processing where consent is the legal basis
• Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB)

8. Cookies & Tracking

Credaq uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly as a result.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected users promptly in the event of a data breach.

10. Children's Privacy

Credaq is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at privacy@credaq.com and we will delete the account promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email if the changes are material. Continued use of Credaq after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
